1. Who We Are
PaperBeet is an AI-powered exam paper generation platform operated by BEETi Technology Services LLP ("we", "us", "our"), a registered company in India. Our website is paperbeet.com and you can reach us at info@paperbeet.com.
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of paperbeet.com and the PaperBeet web application, including teachers, students, school administrators, and parents.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: When you sign in, we collect your email address (via one-time password). We do not collect or store passwords.
Profile information: Your name (optional), role (Teacher / Student / Admin / School), and plan level.
Usage data: Exam papers you generate, MCQ tests you create or attempt, subjects and topics entered, scores and performance data, and timestamps of activity.
Payment information: Subscription payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store credit card numbers or banking details on our servers — Razorpay handles all payment data under their own PCI-DSS compliance.
Technical data: Browser type, device type, IP address, and session activity — collected automatically for security and performance monitoring.
Analytics: We use Microsoft Clarity to record anonymised session replays and heatmaps. This data is aggregated and does not identify individual users personally.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and manage your account securely
- To generate AI exam papers and MCQ tests on your behalf
- To track paper usage against your monthly plan quota
- To display performance analytics for teachers and students
- To send OTP login codes and transactional emails (invoices, plan updates)
- To improve PaperBeet's features based on aggregated usage patterns
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access
- To comply with legal obligations under Indian law
We do not use your data to train AI models. Your exam paper content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API solely to generate your requested output and is governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your account data, papers, and test results are stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS in Singapore). Supabase is SOC 2 Type II certified and encrypts data at rest and in transit.
All connections to paperbeet.com are encrypted via HTTPS (TLS 1.3) provided by Cloudflare. We apply row-level security policies to ensure users can only access their own data.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only with the following service providers, strictly to operate the platform:
- Anthropic — AI paper generation (question content you enter, not personal details)
- Supabase — Database and authentication
- Razorpay — Payment processing
- Cloudflare — Hosting, DNS, and DDoS protection
